Shruti Dave earned her Ph.D. in Human Development from UC Davis in 2017, working under the mentorship of Professor Tamara Swaab. Her research focused on how aging affects predictive processing during language comprehension. Utilizing EEG/ERP methodologies, she examined how factors such as cognitive control, working memory, semantic knowledge, aperiodic brain activity and contextual informativeness influence language processing across different age groups.

Following her doctoral studies, Shruti completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. Since April 2022, she serves as a Research Scientist 2 in Quantitative Sciences at Clinical Outcomes Solutions, where she continues to apply her expertise in cognitive neuroscience to real-world clinical research.
